Are you aware that the EU Council of Ministers - the democratically-elected heads of government for each EU member state - has to agree to any legislative proposal? And the democratically-elected EU parliament must ratify it before Directives can become law? Perhaps you aren't so familiar with the legislative process in the EU as you imagine? I spent 9 months learning about EU law and it's legislative process. The Commission is the EU's Civil Service, and they have to be ordered to do anything by the Council of Ministers. They are not powerful at all. They are the full-time staff delegated to complete the executive actions necessary to draft, and enact EU legislation as ordered to by the EU Council of Ministers. What's really funny is that the EU Commission is quite small, but it's trade negotiating team is right up there with the Americans in terms of quality and ability. I was just reading how David Davies turned up to a meeting with Barnier, and there's a picture of Davies sitting there like a peeled banana, faced by Barnier and his team who had actually prepared for that meeting, and came armed with documents and evidence. Where Davies and his team had a note pad and pen. Talk about being out of your depth. Much like your characterisation of the EU Commission. They do all the donkey work of execution of policy with a team of people 90% smaller than the UK, for a market nearly 7 times bigger. They do not make policy. They implement it.

You didn't watch the video did you? Getting lazy now. Lol.

Er... Not true. We incurred a debt when we left, which won't be paid off until 2064. Yes, we're in hock to the EU, as well as everyone else.

Yes, Ivan.

Jumping the Starmer ship? This is not football. He's not on anyone's "side". How can he be when they're two cheeks of the same backside?

Not as much as your thumbnail.

Actually, no. They pay no tariffs at all. What the problem is our self-inflicted mountain of red tape which is slowly but surely putting off EU businesses from buying from us. We did that to ourselves, under the WTO rules that Vote Leave said we should accept under a complete hard Brexit. Ironic isn't it?

Cameron overegged the pudding for headlines. And Teresa May and he were complicit about being dishonest about Free Movement and our contributions. So of course, Cameron came back empty handed, because he went there empty headed.

And who are you? Nobody. You can only speak your own opinion. And opinions are like the snout on a pig - every pigs got one. What goes in and what comes out may or may not be real, but beyond that who cares? Starmer doesn't, as he's not coming to see you, is he?

How dishonest of you. O'Brien even mentions the critique that Starmer might be lying. You didn't watch the video, did you? Oops! Pink slip for you at the bot farm.
