Sorry, but only every Case on it's merits. We've had deregulation before and it led to the 2008 Financial Crisis and Grenfell Tower, as well as other failures. And we're still subsidising the banks to the tube of about £40bn a year... I think we need a less neoliberal T. I. N. A. bunch of complacent and ill-equipped wannabes in power. What we need is a more sceptical and astute form of government. And you just might get rid of the crony capitalism dragging this country down. And meritocracy? You do know the term was coined by an author of a satirical novel? What you want is equity - skin in the game. We've never had meritocracy ever. That's how ignorant are politicians are, like Teresa May, who didn't notice the eyes rolling back in people's heads as she bleated on about meritocracy, when she was more ambitious than competent, and morally vacuous to boot. You really want to feel that you will get a fair shake of a stick, and your efforts will be rewarded? Well, ask for equity, not some sham mickey take.
