  2. Professor, I watched a wonderful video examining the philosophy of Machiavelli by the Unsolicited Advice channel here on YT. This and your little discussion about truth in the context of book burning have been helpful in negotiating the philosophical background of what is happening. It is folly to treat Russia as a member of good standing of International bodies when they have abused international norms. To do so would be naive and short-sighted, and storing up trouble for the future. The world is not made up of carpets one can sweep dangerous things under and forget about them. It's time the MAGA heads started thinking about the long-term consequences of their actions. They presume to give a lift to a metaphorical scorpion and not get stung along the way. Carry on like this and they will get stung down the line. That's the folly in play here. They like waving flags saying "Don't tread on me," then they proceed to tread on others. It's incoherent. And it won't work. They and those that follow them will not be able to enjoy their riches in peace.. They're deluding themselves.

  3. No, he didn't. And getting only around 25% of the popular vote is no mandate, as the demonstrations 1 month into his term suggest. Somehow, he might not finish his term.
