  9. They are,as Will Self described them back in 2016 "grubby opportunists, riding on the coatails of History." Nothing human designed is perfect, as humans are imperfect. But that doesn't stop the wolves in sheep's clothing looking for a bit of roadkill to load up their freezers, while others have to manage on nothing. So, these grifters have to be shown up for who they are AND greater care and accountability needs to be had for bad and short-sighted policies. It doesn't mean that scapegoating is OK, or that short-sighted, emotionally driven thinking won't happen. it will, but those responsible should be held accountable by democracy, and by democratic means. Not mindless violence that fails to address root causes.
