  1. Our governments aren't flying over to the Sahel, and pledging unconditional support are they? And these groups do not have pressure groups within the political structure? So, you're really off-piste with that argument. Look, 20th century Cold War, anti-communist Truman Doctrine is not so appropriate for today, nor for tomorrow. And old bonds get worn out over time. Unconditional support is never truly unconditional, and people need to be persuaded that the cause is just. The current administration in Israel is losing the moral high ground fast. Just a thought.
