  1. I think Zelenskyy knows the stakes, and he probably is even more aware of the SWOT analysis than we are. Winston Churchill was petulant too, under much the same threat, and faced with an ally demanding a high price for cooperation, and negotiating with them despite knowing that it was transactional. Winston used to take his petulance out on his guests especially if they were wagging the finger at his drinking. Such is the burden of war time leadership, in the midst of complexities piled on complexities. But Zelenskyy is resilient still, and must do what he must.

  2. Silly boy, falling for the political theatre. Nobody sent Ukraine money. They sent all the stuff that was at the end of its life cycle. And they saved money by doing so. The US saved $1bn by not having to decommission those arms. So... At least try to use facts.

Other than the cost of transportation, the US taxpayer saves $1bn by not having to decommission those weapons, and that is then spent on buying new weapons from American arms manufacturers. You must stop falling for the political theatre, dear chap. The biggest donors to parties on the Hill is the Defence Industry, and they're not complaining, as they have the contracts for the upgraded weapons systems that are replacing the old stuff. Indeed, one of Biden's last acts as POTUS was to clear out the arms and material at the ends of their life spans and ship them off to Ukraine.eaving space for shiny, new replacements. So go ask the Pentagon for the figures as they made the shipments. And stop clutching your plastic pearls. If you really cared, you would have known that, as Biden signed the executive orders to do this.
