  1. The Press shifted from being the 5th Estate in Democracy, to being the 5th Column working to subvert democracy. Why? The Internet. The big newspaper conglomerates saw their sales significantly decline due to the Internet proving news at no direct cost to their customers. So they thought, why not take over so we can stop the Internet killing us off, or at least get compensated for our losses. They found enough politicians and disgruntled magnates to fund everything. And chose the Tories to lay their agents in to take it over from within. And Uncle Vlad wanting to rub the noses of NATO and the EU was willing to fund it all. Remember when Arron Banks and a mob tried to take over the Tories. Well, Arron wasn't only given £6m to 'lend' to Vote Leave. He also had a mystery investor pull his chestnuts from the fire with a bung of £77m. Good old Londongrad! The right leaning papers were silent on what was going on. They justify this to themselves as needing to survive, but to what cost to the rest of society? It's encouraging those who like Bad Enoch because "she's like Boris." It's times like these that one is strongly tempted to give weight to the idea of government and just deserts.
