  2. For him to keep his promises, it's all or nothing. Because selective tariffs dont work either. Its tariff all imports or none.

  3. He put them on China during his first term. Guess what? China responded in kind, and American farmers were in danger of going bust. He had to recompense them for their losses. So... American taxpayers paid for those tariffs twice over. Once in tarrifs, and then with cuts to their services. And China eventually found new customers for their direct exports, and new countries to import from. So who actually lost out? Ordinary Americans.

  4. Out of NATO? Never. Just work together as a bloc, and build your own defence industries and intelligence capability together. You are not safe separated. And Trump is going to be around for at least 4 more years, and the congress midterms are coming before that. So its too soon to give in and give up.

  5. That's not how reality works. Ask the Russians who sent Google a fine for godzillions for blocking their bots. They're still waiting for a response, but hell will freeze over before they get one.

  6. It's already punch drunk from the beating reality is giving it. Even without the supply shock from the pandemic, we were already paying higher prices for everything. And its got worse since. And for his tariffs to do what he claims, he has to put tarrifs on everyone, or American firms will either buy from countries without Tarriffs, or offshore their manufacturing to those places. So I suspect he's not going to allow any country to duck his tarrifs.
