Anyone even vaguely familiar with Ianucci's work and commentary would never describe him as "Far Left". Utter nonsense. Just look him up on YouTube. Dog whistle? Your whistle's broken, mate.   2. Degenerate? I think you are being unrealistic. Most children avoid accountability before they can spell it. Telling the truth can can get you bullied, fired, bankrupted, or killed... And the white lie is preferred as social and romantic lubrication. And Fairy Tales are replete with instances where lies are used to get what one wants. Why? That's human. Because absolute truth is often impossible to secure with ease; thinking is hard, and so people revert to prejudices; and many peoples' egos are fragile. Humans are imperfect, and we often fail to design our systems so that they are resilient enough to deal with that. In other words, we are perhaps too unrealistic and complacent about our tendency to screw up. Just a meaningful dive into our economic and political history shows as well as the well-worn successes, there God-awful blunders and carelessness, if not downright callousness. So nothing new here. We just need to stop thinking 'it can't happen here'. And be a little more sceptical, and be a bit more engaged with how things actually work.
