  6. It's perfectly fine to charge for GPL software as long as you also provide the source. But once you sell GPL software the recipient can share it freely if they so choose. Here RH is encouraging customers not to share the code by saying if you do share they won't give you any newer versions.

  8.  @MrAranton  It is like that today. Have you ever heard Louis Rossman complain about not being able to get a CD3217 or whatever chip. Back in the day people who didn't know what to do did have a starting point to try and figure it out for themselves: books and magazines. Regarding suing over charged capacitors: I just looked at two TV service manuals (one from 1948 and one from 2000) and neither mention charged electrolytic capacitors as a shock risk. Companies only get sued for hot coffee when the coffee is served above typical temperatures without such indication. Basically everything already has shock risk warnings because they know lack of a manual won't stop anyone from shocking themselves.

  11. Sometimes I don't feel like watching a long video but if there are chapters available I will still watch the "most interesting" parts. If there are more people who do this that means you could be getting more views because of them.
