  1.  @alexstone691  It doesn't need to be nearly that modern for recovery to exist. I have late 90s boards which can recover with a pre-prepared floppy. I have successfully used the functionality on my 2006 ASUS board and also my 2009 HP Netbook. On the netbook it was naturally USB instead of floppy.
