The dot in the i being red is a relatively recent change. None of the IBM-branded models had the colored dot and I"m thinking some of the Lenovo-branded ones didn't have that either.

Lenovo has been putting in large touchpads for quite some time. 15 year old ThinkPads aren't the fastest anymore but IMO they just feel excellent physically. The slightly newer T420 is not quite as good but in my experience more than fast enough.

I have never heard of anyone hating its presence. As long as there's also a TrackPad everybody is just indifferent at worst.

I'm not a fan of haptic touchpads. I've used a few recent Apple laptops and it's obviously simulated feedback, I much prefer a physical click.

Do you know they sell replacement rubber bits? There are even different styles you can try out.

Dual clutch transmissions usually select the next gear before you need it.

Do you mean ended when they released the T410? The T400 is the same design as the T60. The T410 (technically the T400s but nobody cares about that model) brought the mildly inferior keyboard, removal of many indicators, moved the UltraBay release, and probably other things I"m forgetting.

They haven't had the colored enter key for over a decade.

@yogimew From what I can tell AntiX is only for newer systems like a Pentium II with 256 megs of RAM. The one with the butterfly keyboard only has a 486 and I don't recall what the RAM limit is.
