  1. ON the old family Win95 PC there was an old "MS-DOS Application" of unknown purpose but we kept it because it was probably there for a reason, even though it would just crash if you ran it. Relatively recently I went back and decided to investigate what it was. I opened it up in Notepad to look for any identifying strings and noticed a telltale "BM" magic string at the beginning. It opened up perfectly in Paint and it turns out a much-younger me was trying to create a website or something. Not knowing anything about how any of it worked, I had made a BMP file but with a COM extension.
