  1. ​ @nsr-ints  I did exactly this and for one simple reason: it was much faster than local storage. My local storage was a spinning laptop hard drive and the network storage was a RAM drive in my slower desktop.

  2. If you're going OOM then you could probably make use of more swap. When on my older laptop I will often notice excessive slowdowns due to swap usage with only a few tabs but that's with 4GBs and heavy 2024 websites.
