  3. I think I have a Q6600 but I've never used it. My basement PC has a newer gen C2Q and I have it overclocked probably around 3.8GHz.

  4.  @theepicslayer7sss101  If any half-modern CPU is idling at 70C then either it's not idling or your cooling is crap. "Crap" cooling can also be a feature by only ramping up the fan as much as needed.

  5.  @theepicslayer7sss101  The closest processor I have is an E6300 which runs much cooler but is also lower clocked and half the cores. With your idle temps so high and your load not much higher I would need to assume you had all the power-saving features disabled. This was (unfortunately) often the default on performance motherboards. If you enabled the power-saving features your idle temps would probably be in the 40s.
