The revolutionary war of 1775 -1783 was not a war between to sovereign state as Great Britain did not recognize American independence before 1783 and those American as a independent state was not independent until after the signing the Treaty of Paris in 1783 so it was not a war between two independent sovereign state; as it was technically not a war between The US and The UK as it was more like a civil war between citizens of the Great Britain (UK) or a war between those loyal to the "crown " and those who wished for independences from the crown as  The American state (US ) was not even a thing before after it was legally recognized as such ; in short it was not a nation, country or state before after the war of independence was over !!

Typical Italians and that goes dobbel for Venetians or the Romans they sell off their houses to rental companies that rent them out to tourists ; or the locals themselves rent out their own homes, on the internet to insane prices in 100s of euros a day, the locals open restaurants and gift shops they have gondola serves and boat service, renting out scooters , cars ect ect ect even the city cashes in on ticket sales for geting into museums etc etc .. And when the market they themself made start coming to there city they then complain their is to much tourists !! But they will still take their money and smile ... This is so typical Italian !!
