Except you are wrong, because ALL events are relative to the observation. If something is in the past, it can't be now BY DEFINITION. The past can't be now or it would be the present. It is that simple.

I think you just ran into a language problem. When you say "backwards in time", for most people that means going into the past. However, it might be possible that any change in time is still never going to the past.

@lawrencium2626 - I think that is a misunderstanding of the notion that things have a minimum limit to their resolvable metrics. It presumes all points in time-space are synchronously linked to the same reference point at a distance of multiples of the smallest metrical quantity.

@seph13x - There has never been a credible theory that multiple timelines exist. People seem to think that fantasies about unpredictable quantum events are substantive evidence of "theories" of multiple timelines or universes. There is no evidence that quantum events are not predetermined, despite the pseudo-random probabilities measure from their outcomes. As for free will, you really jumped the shark. You presume free will is not causal. If free will is not causal, it is random and thus not will. If it is causal, it is not free. Which one do you pick? Free will is an illusion because it is really a random outcome or free will is an illusion because it is really an outcome of the causal evolution of the mind's inner state?

This video is insane. Is nobody NOT aware that air with the lowest potential temperature is at the SURFACE! Why would you exchange that with air aloft?! As "cool" air descends (adiabatically), increasing ambient oressure will compress it and warm it. At surface pressures, that high-altitude air becomes warmer than the air you pumped aloft, and the surface air pumped aloft will cool to very cold temperatures! These bogus solutions UNBELIEVABLY promoted here would create a superadiabatic lapse rate!:The atmosphere would immediately autoconvect and return the air you pumped right back to where it started. Sabine, you have forfeited your authority to speak about atmospheric thermodynamics! =:-[

@maxsteinhausen2197 - How can you travel at the speed of light in order to catch up with TV and radio signals traveling at the same speed of light? You would never catch those signals. So, you would have to settle on sitting in one place and waiting for broadcasts of reruns to reach you.

This reminds me of competing ideas in anthropology. Except in that field, they don't fail. They just successfully sell until their conjecture is accepted as "theory". The so-called theories get thoroughly replaced and contradicted eventually, exposing that they were never proper theories.
