@UncleButterworth - You're only as smart as your last judgment call.

@2DclanSnipingTeam - He could have started somewhere else. Also, some people who disappear are never reported as missing.

But highly regulated.

Many murders are NOT solved, and a cop might have further belief they are unlikely to be convicted. Given that many murderers have talked to the police and walked away clean, there is a great temptation to seek that "clean" break. If the murderer gets a lawyer, that leaves the nagging thought that they might become the prime suspect.. For a cop, this is especially true, and if not they still might become a suspect of some breach of law or standards. The reality is, Fulton County murderers get away about 40% of the time. A cop might think his odds are even better than that. More so, it is common for people to engage in avoidance of discomfort (asking for a lawyer, looking guilty) by impulsively assuming that good odds are sufficient to commit to a decision with heavy consequences.

In a way, it is not stupid. Acting like all is normal has benefits. He only got caught due to his interview.

@Happyhippy70 - This video channel mines murder confessions for entertainment clicks. That is already a choice that is arguably immoral, regardless of your personal values or the particular victim's. (And note, I doubt a mother who understands the value of a life would think it funny to have her own death the source of a joke, particularly with her surviving mother and child deserving to never hear of such a thing.) If the channel is to retain a degree of respect for the victims, it should most definitely NOT title its videos with humorous names. Out of context, the joke can be cleverly funny. In reality, taking up the idea of a joke in a video title is inappropriate.

@amyann13 - The Constitution, oddly enough, says nothing about qualified immunity. SCOTUS pulled that out of their keister to protect the most powerful among us.

@michaelblankenau6598 - Show us just one study that shows people without obvious brain injury, including cops, can turn into psychopaths in their adult years. The collective of psychiatric professionals does not even have a universal belief in psychopathy. Despite that, or even because of it, I doubt you can find any psychiatrist who believes psychopaths form after the age at which they qualify to become police officers. They might manifest with murder after they become cops, but it is very doubtful anyone becomes a psychopath that late in life. And that goes to the point of the original comment. People who become cops are either psychopaths first or never at all. Hence, cops cannot " become" psychopaths, but psychopaths CAN become cops. Try applying at least a bit of logical thinking and you will understand the original comment. Otherwise, you can be as egotistical as the cop and feel sure you are the smartest person in the room, but you'll only be fooling yourself.

@TacticalShinebox -- It became a hooker haven. Also, people would get murdered after meeting strangers on Craig's list. It could be meeting for sex or to sell a used car. Either way, it could be dangerous. Oddly, some people would (and still) meet in a safe place only to go off to another not-so-safe place like a home or hotel. I may have even sold my used car off of Craig's list twenty-five years ago. I can't remember. Whoever showed up to pay me certainly had to be careful, carrying a cash payment. Every year or more I probably hear on the news people getting murdered that way.

@cr0w342 - To be fair, sitting in the safety of my home and desensitized to the violence with an algorithm full of videos, I chuckled at the comment. However, this woman was loved. Even if she was friendless and had no family, she didn't deserve to lose her life. You are right, and it is good for all of us at risk of desensitization to check ourselves and remember the awfulness of it all.

@TCBabcock - It's the oldest profession. You're never going to make it go away. Tolerating murder is not a solution.

@MrBlkbwoy - Just try to design a society that doesn't fall apart if prostitution is legal and unregulated. The temptation of sex is super-hard for most men and for some women to ignore. We are ALL here because human's have an irrepressible drive to procreate. More critically, a good number of us here making comments were probably unplanned babies! Imagine how many more people would be having sex if it was culturally acceptable to be "hawking your wares" anywhere. Families would fracture more often. If you want an example, look at the country of South Africa to see what happens. Sex is culturally more accepted, even in marriage, and now they have an HIV rate putting the rest of the world far behind. Additionally, families are ignored while fathers feel fine just going around and sticking themselves where they don't belong. If you want that, try moving there. Enjoy.

Oddly, one can learn a lot from these interviews. Someone can learn how to pickup prostitutes, sell drugs, buy drugs, and solicit murder.
