@frankwijnans444 - The most common? Define common. BTW, I have three scientific degrees, including one in physics, so don't assume it's your eigenvalue jargon that prompted my response, just your questionable use of the word "common".

That might just be a statistical issue, particularly since heartbeats have fuzzy start and end definitions.

@tacomas9602 - Oscillation modes occur when full (integer) oscillations take place. If two modes sync up within a short number of cycles, a lot of energy can be transferred rapidly between modes before it dissipates, leading to growth of one mode or another. So, if one mode is happening at a small integer multiple of another, it will sync up well for energy transfer. Also, higher order harmonics of any particular mode can interact with higher order of harmonics of another mode, even if those higher modes were not something you were noticing. So, to minimize the frequency at which modes phase together, one chooses mode lengths that are prime numbers relative to each other. (Sorry if I am not more clear, answering this is really not in my time schedule for the day!)
