We are seeing the benefit of being able to afford lawyers who push for frivolous motions and can get away with it.

@SyntheticStuntMan - Sleepy is not rotten (and corrupt). Trump is already seeking payments for his personal approval. Buy his meme coin, win favors. In-f*cking-credible.
7
Nobody believes it. His supporters claim to believe it because they have personality disorders and enjoy making others upset.

@055, why is the guest not immediately challenging the shameful Fox narrative push, "They were overcharged." The conversation goes into how these people explicitly ATTACKED law enforcement, even leading to fatalities. Some black kid in the ghetto does this and he's got life. A Trump supporter? "Overcharged".

@Nishell21 - I am very much opposed to 100% of Trump's desire for chaos, but your choice of foreign policy by vacation hot-spot status is ridiculous. First off, define "we". Most Americans don't have the luxury of foreign travel. **EVER**. They will, on average, not travel around the CONUS, let alone all 50 states and territories, never mind other countries. Your blindness to your own bias is troubling. Second off, who cares if people vacation there? The net reasons for making foreign policy decisions are *net*. It's not like travel trumps everything else (no pun intended).

The military doesn't care for vets, so why should Trump? Why do you think the Dept of Veterans Affairs was created? The military was never going to properly care for veterans compared to buying more weapons or training troops. But after the VA was created, the care didn't really end up being better.

@story1951 - Then they wipe their chins, dust off their knees, and ask if they can be given more.

Trump is angry because the squeaky tank woke him up. Sleepy Don fell asleep - AGAIN. And he said Biden is not the "sharpest bulb." This lump of dumb is decaying as we watch him. His people are trying to cover up his weaknesses, but they can't. Trump is too public.

Trump voted for himself. By mail.

Rupert Murdoch used Fox and worked with GOP elites to create a beast to help them secure a base for their power, but now those elites finds they have to keep feeding the beast or it will kill them. The Fox Nation lives by pushing stories, nothing less, and fighting to push the story has replaced the desire to struggle through the lies to find the truth.

In the big picture, this is peanuts. "We" can feel as snarky and happy as we want, but remember who still - as a single individual - has robust control of EVERY branch of the United States of America.

Wrong. The quote shows something very important and dangerous about this narcissist. He is one of those who will do anything to distract and disrupt meaningful conversation, even as he claims to be doing the opposite. We don't need to raise the question he raised. We have economic and political problems that need solutions. We don't false leaders like him just trying to get people to argue over and over about unprovable conspiracy ideas.
1
@wYoungman1 - It is important because in a presidential campaign, relevant issues should not be sidelined for a rehash of overworn conspiracy fantasies that are over two decades old. It is dangerous because he is reviving arguments that inspired other angry citizens to violence, threatening and even killing people accused by 9/11 conspiracy fantasists. Maybe you personally have a need for someone else to raise 20-year old stale questions for you, but most people see this toxic garbage as the distraction it is. He is using the now-decades old Trump strategy of starting arguments faster than people can respond to them. 'Swamy's question is the kind of question that takes a lot of resources to tamp down. It's like if you and I were in a debate and I immediately asked you, "Why do you molest children every day, and not just on your birthday?" The question is not just inflammatory, it is also presumptuously accusing you of daily horrific crimes, AND it is also presumptuously making up a secondary fact, that you would otherwise 'only' commit these crimes once a year if you even did your best for self-control." That kind of political flame-throwing is designed to prevent honest discourse and scramble the public's attempts to achieve optimal governance. This guy is morally corrupt and trust trying to throw discourse into a maelstrom, not facilitate it.

There is no point in discussing this as a legal motion. It is just yet another fund-raising grift. And it will work! Sad to say, but the largest wealth transfer for any group in this country over the last decade, as a percentage of personal wealth lost, has been money transferring from the MAGA zombies to Trump's grifting enterprises. It's unfortunate for them. A prime complaint of MAGAs is that "the government of elites" takes too much from them, yet they just keep throwing their kids' lunch money to a billionaire grifter. It's remarkable, with bad consequences for everyone except the Trump Crime Family Circus.

Trump challenges those in Congress. Liberals don't. They don't go nuclear. He does.
1
@EBR846 - Human evolution has produced some disappointingly conflicted intrinsic values.
1
I saw a Trump supporter on TV admitting that Trump doesn't live up to his word and doesn't pay people. He said that is the price of doing business with him. That's like saying you know the Ice Cream man molests children, but that's the price of buying ice cream from him. If you facilitate the problem, you ARE the problem as well.
1
@ellenweiss5850 - MAGAts don't care. I watched one MAGAt say he supported Trump, and the same guy said he had been stiffed by Trump. What a loser! No self-respect.
1
They see themselves in him.

She's not a Republican, she's a spoiler. There are always those in Congress who take money to ruin the side they supposedly belong to. They don't belong to the other side, either. They just won't support the side they claim to. Sinema would hurt the GOP just as much as the Dems. She gets paid (sorry, "donations") based on who she protects from legislation, not who she helps with legislation.

It's not just embarrassment as an American, it's as a human. Trump is what America and humanity produced. He is the net production of the Electoral College, which was created for people who enslaved other humans and wanted to keep doing it forever. He is the net production of an electorate that is unwilling to pass referenda to force the legislature to stop using an internal rules system that empowers two political parties to put their own continuance above all else. He is the product of false Christianity and even false faith of pretty much all kinds. He is the manifestation of their lying, hypocritical falsity. The "prosperity gospel" andd the followers who donate money and prop up oligarchs of the megachurches all helped to create him. This is idol worship mixed with projection and NOT Christianity. It multiply irritates me because I know there is no God, but I understand these people won't face that truth. But then they go against their own religious book! And they also go against common sense morals. But that's Rupert Murdoch's America, a country manifested by a traitorous, unscrupulous foreigner.

Well, yes. The billionaires win in that case, not you.
1
Well, you must hate half of America at least. You should at least be heart-broken by them.
1
@coryhebert2070 - You don't seem to understand. People are not trying to "get" Trump. They want criminals held to account. Trump breaks laws and gets away with it. Do you want someone breaking into your home and getting off, even praised for it by half of your neighbors? Trump is like that. And some of us want his law-breaking to stop. I would add, this was happening long before Trump ran for office. He inherited privilege and was trained by his Dad and his mentor Roy Cohn to do whatever he could get away with. This is not a secret. This is who he is. Do you support people doing what they want, even if it breaks the law? Would you like thieves doing that to you if they could?
1
@tdtm82 - So many Michigan Palestinians were saying, "F*** the Dems!" Well, let's see how they like the consequences of their (painful) choice.
1
Trump 2020: It's impossible we lost, we had even MORE voter turnout than the massive 2016 turnout! Trump 2020: It's impossible for the Democrats to have won. They needed to have even MORE voter turnout than the massive 2016 turnout. Whoever heard of such a thing? It's impossible.
