  1. So let the schools use those scores, and let the kids take another exam in the next two months. Then let the schools decide if the score differences are acceptable for each student. This is not rocket science. Solutions are available. They just require people to take off their bureaucratic blinders.

  2.  @afcgeo882  - If Putin gains more power and glory for Russia, he wins. I don't think he will. However, he can still stalemate by retaining his power and telling to his Russian supporters this failure is a noble though limited win. Putin does not even have to "sell" his propaganda to his core followers. They, like a lot of people who prefer simple things, want to be told what to believe.

  3.  @clowncarqingdao  - I heartily disagree. Sometimes there is. There is glory in fighting to be free rather than a pawn with a boot on your neck. Such fighting requires courage. Summoning courage for a good cause is heroic. And not everyone loses. We would all be slaves to Hitler if everyone believed like you. Nobody would have fought his violent people. Sometimes, you must choose to fight if the fight has already chosen you.

  4.  @lancejames1916  - Do you think the smart way to fight is have old-style WW I trenches where you form a "defensive front", or a line of armored vehicles waiting to repulse an attack? Such a defensive arrangement would be smashed by an opposing force with superior firepower. The Russians ARE that force with superior firepower, so the Ukrainians are using other defensive tactics. You should go volunteer to fight on the "offensive line" for Russia. You would be a great general! LOL!

  7.  @Treddian  - Since the 1980s the USA lost its will to remain secure. We collectively worshipped Wall Street and profits. Practically nobody running a large company in the US is willing to ensure they have robust security of their computer systems. Even the US government does not care enough. To make matters worse, the US uses contractors for secure systems, so (again) the executives of those contracting companies want to boost quarterly profits so they won't spend the big money required to have better security. It is hard to secure an enterprise-scale system and still have it usable by regular employees. The executives don't care. Likewise, government officials don't really care. Who went to jail when the General Services Administration was hacked and all security clearance application data was stolen? ALL people with secret identity require a security clearance and that data was handled by GSA. That means every secret identity possessed by officers, employees, and other agents were all compromised. Nobody went to jail. Nobody was fined as far as I know. Nobody even got fired. So, our systems are too weak, and any and all adversaries (even allies) can hack our systems. It's heartbreaking to watch corruption of indifference and greed weaken this country. The only salve on this wound is that we live in an open society so at least our intentions are already fairly public. Still, secret people, secret capabilities, and secret plans are almost never reliably secret here in the USA.
