@andrewpriester6994 Yeah it does fit their narrative about climate.. which fits the narrative of 99.9% of the scientific community.. Their methods are crap but the message is solid. You gotta be real loud these days to stand out over the grey noise.

They certainly do not help the cause.. Its pretty silly these days to pretend that we have not known about this for at least 5 decades. Oil lobbying is a powerful tool.

@JohnDoe-ew3xt I don't think you know how to argue about climate science so you made up some drastic metaphor for why what these activists are doing hurts the cause.. which wouldn't change why they are protesting. All publicity is good publicity when you don't care about money. I think its sick to default to the usual wishful thinking and denial that formulates your talking points. Especially if it means you are worse than they are.

@JohnDoe-ew3xt Why do you think there is some controversy over something that you have put no time or energy into learning about and will your position be simply defending the right to mindless self indulgence and extreme consumerism practices? @JohnDoe-ew3xt I believe that belief is a fart in the wind and that is why we have the scientific method.. Maybe we need to debate How the 3rd industrial revolution destroys your model and look to why they don't say "global warming". The science is there. If you had done the research you would see its really not a controversy.. Its just science.. Its much worse than what you think and I doubt you even considered you are taking a risk for future generations if you think your personal beliefs stack up to how we create models of prediction from science. Go upend the current prevailing model and claim your Nobel Prize. Or just assume you are right and do some acrobatics with circular reasoning and special pleading. I think you have the strawman model.. Not science.

Your arguments are an uneducated guess.. not science. Science is not your plaything. I can send all the data and sources but I don't think you know how to interpret data without a presuppositional bias. Otherwise you can just go educate yourself so I don't have to copy and paste the entire model. You gave a grossly distorted view of how we discover truth in general. Your presupposition is step 1.. now do the work. Wishful thinking is nice.. its just delusional.

Do we speed up a natural process exponentially through consumer idiocy? Is there mountains of evidence you don't care about? All a big Yes. Do you know what an "invasive species" is?
