In fact it just wastes time, energy, and money and creates the thriving of a black market.. as seen with every prohibition of anything that costs money that a lot of people still want regardless of the law.. Not unlike abrtion laws just make it more dangerous for women and doesn't actually stop it. You just have to crawl out behind your rock to know that life isn't black and white. You keeping your guns rests on one thing only.. prohibition will not stop the most violent among us from owning them.
