  3. I used to work in the US nuclear complex and I remember there being discussions that a very real downside to nuclear arms limitations is that the US is rapidly running out of Pu-238. It may be extremely difficult to develop RTGs in the future because we simply aren't reprocessing nearly as much nuclear material as we used to.
