@michelejackson7934 What makes you think Israel isn't doing its best to let women and children safely leave the area? The civilian to fighter death rate in this war is substantially lower than the rate of the US in the Iraq war. For urban warfare in a densely packed area, they are doing incredibly well in that regard. There was video early on of IDF soldiers guarding the designated paths to the south. Hamas, meanwhile, literally blocked the road so civilians couldn't go south because Hamas actively works to maximize civilian death and suffering.

Just the opposite. There are plenty of videos of tunnels collapsing with Israeli bombing. That there are still so many tunnels puts the lie to the claim that Israel is "carpet bombing."
