I read this a while back and the overwhelming impression I got was that it was about the quality of writing of 50 Shades of Gray but replace the sex with racist violence.

And now that a former member of this group has taken control of Syria, people all of the sudden think they aren't so bad.

@benjaminollis7621 War is horrible, that is not news to anyone who has even the remotest understanding of history. What happened in the Holocaust though, was not war. And what is happening in Palestine now is, in fact, war. Failure to understand the difference is tragically common.

FWIW, the image shown at the beginning 0:13 is not actually of Hamurabi, but rather of Shamash or Marduk. Hamurabi is always depicted with a tight, round cap with a tall brim. The mistake is forgivable as it is actually also mistakenly labelled this way in the US capitol building.
18
Of course. It’s a never ending arms race. The public only learns about it long after it’s relevant.
12
@55squire Unfortunately, the perception has flipped upside down and those who claim that they are "anti-genocide" are the exact same people who literally chant in support of a genocide in their marches.
11
@benjaminollis7621 Not actually though, no.
10
@midnite_rambler Hahahahahaha... Either your grandson has an atlas published as a joke or you don't know how to read.
8
Shalom from southern Israel... we've got things covered, thanks. Support would be appreciated though.
8
No, Kristalnacht does not justify the actions of Israel in Gaza... What justifies those actions is the invasion of Israel by Gazans on October 7.
7
@wingerding I like to be informed but mostly just curiosity.
7
@midnite_rambler Hahahahahahahahaha.... wow... no, the Caribbean is not US territory.
6
"... I support there being a Jewish state, I will never support Israeli occupation of anywhere..." So... you just like the idea of a Jewish state, but not the reality of it. Like.. you do realize that for a state to exist, it does have to exist somewhere right?
6
@random_dude3184 Complete and utter nonsense.
5
It underscores just how important the continued existence of Israel is and why so many people think that anti-zionism is a form of antisemitism.
5
@midnite_rambler >Israel was given Arab land in 1948 by the UK. False. > That doesn't give it carte blanche to invade, and occupy anywhere else. Of course, even if your claim were true, which it is not. > Which Israel has done since 1967 and the 6 day war. False. > And you know as well as I do that there is a huge difference between being given a country to live in, Israel, and Occupation of a country that is not yours, Palestine. Israel was not "given" a country to live in. Israel stopped occupying Gaza in 2005. > So don't be obtuse. When you stop spreading ignorance and calling for my death, I'll consider caring about your opinion. Not until then.
5
@midnite_rambler Your ignorance of history is matched only by your cruelty.
4
@midnite_rambler So we will never get a comment from you condemning Hamas atrocities. Gee.. big surprise.
4
I mean... they literally are cheering it on in the comments on this video.
4
@qjames0077 When there is literally video of people literally doing EXACTLY what a commenter is stating... that is not "conjecture."
4
That college campuses are so politically aligned is even more scary.
4
The people of Gaza are learning that very hard lesson now.
4
@bkos1917 Not even close.
3
The current crop of college kids couldn't hold a candle to that generation.
3
Just a reminder, as of a month ago, there was a Holocaust survivor being held in a tunnel in Gaza by Hamas terrorists and it seems that a large portion of the global "civilized" world not only was okay with this, but they did not want other Jews to attempt to rescue them.
3
Yeah. This particular video seems less well mixed than usual.
3
He already did a video on the Turner Diaries so certainly not the first, no.
3
@wazza2250 Hamas deaths currently estimated about 6,500.
2
@midnite_rambler Your calls for gen0cide discredit your opinions on the matter.
2
@pjeaton58 no
2
@tomhenry897 Not really though, no.
2
You clearly have access to the internet... you really should bother to actually learn about things before talking on them.
2
He needs to start doing shark week...

@rabb1tjones921 When the Spanish encountered the Aztecs, it was shortly after a truly epic scale mass human sacrifice and when the first Europeans came to Hawaii, it was after a civil war so brutal that it was called the Battle of the Damned Waters because there were so many corpses it literally blocked the river. Part of the whole "civilizing" narrative is due to emphasizing these kinds of acts. While it is not true that Europeans were any less brutal generally, that does not mean that the non-European populations were any better.
1
@notpank DoctorX101 is correct here. You people are psychopaths. Hamas literally calls for genocide in its founding charter, live-streamed torture and mass atrocities on a monumental scale on October 7, and is known to meet out punishment to its own people by corrective rape, honor killings, throwing LGBTQ people from buildings, and dragging "traitors" through the streets behind a car by their ankles. Hamas are not your friends. They would kill you without hesitation if they had half a chance.

I have tremendous respect for those who have given up alcohol and I fully acknowledge that I have alcohol dependence but I do think that alcohol (and many other drugs) can be managed with minimal risk. My brother was a smoker for years and, having watched our grandfather die of emphysema, it always bothered me that he smoked. I used to rag on him about it and, in the end, he died at 35 by falling off a cliff. Now, I still think smoking is a bad idea, but life has all sorts of risks and each of us weighs which we are willing to accept.
1
@Squat5000 Classic neo-NAZI victim blaming. Reported.
1
@benjaminollis7621 Sure. The Holocaust does not justify the actions taken by Israel. The Holocaust taught Jews that the rest of the world cannot be relied on for our protection. The actions of Hamas are what justify the current actions of Israel.
1
Calling Jonestown “assisted suicide” isn’t kind. Those people were murdered.
1
@effexwhore But both obviously false and clearly antisemitic born of the same views that led to the Holocaust in the first place.
1
Completely fucking clueless antisemitism.
1
You have to start somewhere.
1
Considering that the government of the people of Dresden were burning the bodies (and sometimes living people) by the thousands in their concentration camps, I find it very difficult to be outraged at this act of war. War is truly horrible and always has been. If you don't want that, don't start one.
1
@midnite_rambler >My calls for Genocide? Yes. > Are you replying to the right person? Yes. > I oppose all killing, whether it be in war or not. And I will never sit by and watch women, children and babies being murdered. No matter who is doing the killing. Murder is NEVER justified. I disagree with your position, but I look forward to seeing you condemn Hamas. I saw dozens of your comments on this video with numerous condemnations of Israel's defensive war. I did not see a single instance of you condemning the only party to the conflict that openly calls for gen0cide.
1
@raitchison Israel is not committing atrocities now. You may be a Jew but you certainly are also ignorant.
1
@tomhenry897 Outfitted by Hugo Boss

Please learn. Your education is your responsibility.
1
@amandakhumalo5655 I know the history very well.
1
@55squire Your support for people who attempt gen0cide will not put you on the right side of history.
1
@crochetomania yeah, sounds about right
