I told him he should be sure to wear his rainbow flag t-shirt. He told me that my suggestion was "a threat." They know deep down that these places do not share their values.

The proud people of Persia have an incredibly long and noble history that has overlapped quite a lot with our own history. Both of our people have been able to get past earlier conflicts. To this very day we remember the name of Cyrus the Great who freed us from the Babylonians. Some day in the future we will be friends again.

I'm all for fostering dialogue, I think that respect needs to be earned. The guy who made that comment is literally among the most hate-filled humans I have ever encountered. Every single comment he has ever made to me has been absolutely dripping with rage and fury. He comments on every post I make. He is not a person from whom it is capable to learn.
