  1. This is super cool and I'm as hopeful as anyone about this technology but I also am hopeful that Musk's plan for rocket-based earth travel pans out. Traveling through the atmosphere very quickly is fine and all, but if you just go above the atmosphere, you can go way faster. Imagine traveling from New York to Beijing on a rocket in just a few hours.
