  1. Israel left Gaza in 2005 and the response of Palestinians was to increase violence leading to October 7. The advice rings hollow.

  3.  @gerri577  From Articles 42 of The Hague convention: “Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army.” After 2005, the military of Israel did NOT exercise authority in the Gaza Strip. Laws were established, maintained, and enforced SOLELY by Gazans through the government of Gaza elected by Gazans and supported by Gazan taxes.
