John Travolta as a bad guy in Broken Arrow was better than any of the ones they showed apart from Pulp Fiction...hush hush!! Samuel L Jacksons best bad guy performance is in his Sports betting commercials. Edward Norton possibly deserves number 1 as he has done 2 movies that I know of where he plays good and bad in the one film: American History X and Primal Fear and did it very well. And where is Joe Pesci ? Tommy Devito to Leo Getz couldn't be more of a difference in contrast.
