  1. 500k is a very mediocre price these days...$500 a week is all you'll get. Sometimes location can make a difference but there are tiny apartments that sell for that and can't even get that much in rent .

  2. I love the people who say their house is double what they paid, forgetting all the costs and the interest they pay on it....at best you break even and everything else also appreciated. So you can sell and buy something the same, or upgrade to the $4 million house and have a big debt again.

  3.  @rey_nemaattori  Not sure where you live but rents can only be raised by a certain amount at certain intervals.... If they do it regularly, you simply up and leave for something else.

  5. Year 30 your house is worth $3 million and so is everybody else's....Now what? Sell and downgrade to see some profit?
