Really? No drag queens were assaulted prior to them reading to children in libraries? I think you need to read up on the history of draq queens and how they battled abuse and attacks for decades before they were involved with children.

False comparison.

I very much doubt chldren are confused after attending these events, but even if they are, conundrums are meant to be worked out and what better way than to start early on? It's hardly traumatic for them to watch someone in drag tell them a story. Have any children gone to these events and ended up screaming, crying, kicking, and so forth?

Rubbish. You are talking rubbish. Drag queens are not just for adults. Have you ever been to a pantomime? Lily Savage was family entertainment. Dame Edna? You bigots really are dumb.

@jonpoulda3362 According to the pseudo-religious new puritanism it is.

Lots of sex going on at the Tate. Loads of Satan worship too. 🤦♂
1
No he didn't.

Your god doesn't exist.
1
No they are not. Drag queens are entertainers who perform at pantomime and on TV before the whole family. They are not limited to adult entertainment.

@kerrygillott9925 Because one specific to skin colour and the other is specific to sex difference.
1
@Missdoubletrouble541 Only in so far as both are assuming an identity. One skin colour; the other sex are very different. It's a paradox.
1
@Jackalnuts I shall not repeat myself. Read what I wrote and understand.
1
@zantas-handle Never heard of it. I do not think it even exists.

Grooming implies manipulation. Where is the manipulation?
1
@itsmorphed6416 It doesn't make it true. Grooming implies manipulation, and it's not happening.
1
@dadbear6614 🤦♂
1
@dadbear6614 I know very well what the definitions (plural!) of grooming are thank you very much. Child grooming doesn't apply here. There are no drag queens at Tate trying to sexualise children. None. Zero.
1
Presumably a) they get paid for it b) they teach children to respect differences

@cornishjollyboy4524 Drag queens are not sexualised clowns, but your bigotry is noted as is your ignorance. They are just impersonating women that is all in a highly unsual fashion. There's no sex accept in your feverish bigoted mind.
1
@cornishjollyboy4524 Homophobes that go to see drag queens with their children? Are you sure you are on the same planet as the rest of us?

The children's world and the adult's world have been merging, often happily so, since the dawn of time. Drag queens have been part of the children's world since the 1970s. It's just every tens years or so the ludicrous and gullible Satanic panickers emerge. I did not say that drag has no underlying sexual component. I am saying that when children go to see a drag queen at a library or similar event, it's not sexual. It's just a man in a dress with makeup on. As for gay bars: why would children be at a gay bar? That's definately adult. If parents bring their children to that event, it's up to the parents. You cannot extrapolate that to other events involving drag queens specifically "employed" to tell children some funny stories.
1
@cornishjollyboy4524 I would allow my child a small amount of wine at Christmas. No. Not pornography. Of course not. Wait. Are you seriously equating drag queen story time with porn? 🤔
1
@cornishjollyboy4524 Nothng wrong with teaching kids to accept other people's legal and consentual sexual preferences.
1
I'm sure religion is going to get there much quicker.
