If you are bulletproof and brave enough you can live in Detroit and own your own home cheaper than almost any other city in America. The winters are cold and the land flat but the price is very low compared to other parts of the country. Detroit is not the place to raise your children but it is a place to start out cheap if you’re willing to risk your life daily.
