  1. I wonder why tsmc doesn't move some of it's production into developing countries with decent production capacities!! Such as Turkey can build that factory within a year not 3 years at all as it has enormous construction sector while severely lacking high tech production. So i think similar countries would be much better options than US or building another factory in Taiwan as not only those factories would become operational in less time also tsmc could cut costs significantly...

  3.  @cchkuan  I have absolutely no idea which developing country you are talking about while china has been stealing tech for decades and there are still many countries investing into china!! Government stability is a risk pretty much worldwide as we saw with the US capitol attack and it isn't too risky subject to private sector unless it is a communist country and the government could seize private property like china but even then there are many countries investing into china. Taiwan experiences one of the worst water scarcity in the world and even had to to introduce water rationing!! We aren't living in 80s anymore and vast majority of the developing countries have decent infastructure. So i really wonder which ''developing country'' you are talking about? Myanmar?? If it is Turkey your claims become even more ridiculous because in reality Turkey is more developed than eastern half of Europe and they already have tons of foreign patents including military ones but i've never heard they stole any nor shared with third parties...
