  1. Bag option really makes sense, just capture smaller icebergs. Pump out salty water and just wait until it melts then tow it to Australia, fresh water is lighter than salty water so it should float on it's own and it would be a lot safer than towing an iceberg. However Cyprus is really close to Turkey and mediterranean is a calm sea so it would be still quite challenge..

  2. Yeah, towing it fast would be always economically unfeasible but who says it must travel fast?? A smart bag which has it's own energy production like solar power and propulsive force can make it economically feasible. For example lets say such a bag travels from Antartica to Australia in 2-3 years as long as there is a supply chain it doesn't matter at all. But ofc it is a question if we can produce such a durable bag..
