First of all people must realize interstellar travel is very very difficult, wormholes or warp engines etc are just theories they might be not possible at all or stay beyond our understanding forever! So an alien civilization capable of long distance interstellar travel might be thousands even tens of thousands years ahead of us. Then the biggest question isn't why such an advanced alien civilization didn't contact us rather it is why they would want to contact us at first place? We can't even live in harmony with our planet, ourselves or the wildlife. Lets be honest we don't have anything at all to offer expect entertainment perhaps. But they might get more annoyed by our stupidity and greed than entertained! And all of those galactic empire conquering everything or building mega structures etc assumptions just reflect how primitive we are still thinking and allowing greed to effect even our dreams. There are mountains of gold, entire planets of diamonds and endless source of energy out there, no civilization could ever need to conquer entire galaxy! There are only two rare resources in entire universe, knowledge and life. Absolutely nothing else matters so it makes impossible for any civilization to kill everything on their path. They could not become an advanced civilization capable of interstellar travel with such a primitive way of life, in a sense how insanely large the universe or even our galaxy is what protecting us...

  2. Just another cheap excuse to claim ''we are special'' while it is a million times more likely we are too primitive to let ourselves known or to warrant any attention! We can't even live in harmony with our planet, ourselves or the wildlife, then why any alien civilization would contact us?..
