It is completely false saying 7 million displaced people was the most in all modern wars due Syrian PROXY war displaced over 12 million people that more 8 million of them live in Turkish protected area including 3.6 million refugees inside Turkey but ofc it is no surprise vox completely ignores humanitarian side of Syrian war as it was US which turned it into a proxy war...

  3.  @skeleex  There are 3 times more Syrian refugees in Turkey than entire western countries combined so i wonder what you are talking about!! To be fair even if western countries didn't accept similar amount of refugees EU kept covering a significant part of refugee costs in Turkey but they don't give anything for displaced Syrians in Syria. Such as in Idlib alone there are over 4 million displaced Syrians that majority of their needs covered by Turkey so they wouldn't leave Syria and become refugees as well...
