Turkey is the source of both rivers so Turkey has no obligation what so ever to share it's own water and agreements should be signed such as Turkey and Syria have an agreement to fix the water Turkey sends with euphrates and despite really bad relations with assad regime Turkey kept honouring the agreement...

@pw7225 First of all this video fails to explain Turkey isn't a middle country of those international waters rather it is the source of both rivers therefore Turkey has no obligation what so ever to send it's own water to those countries!! Still Turkey and Syria have an agreement to fix the amount of water that Turkey sends with euphrates and Turkey kept honouring the agreement despite really bad relations with assad regime while there are no agreements between Turkey and Iraq!! Iraq can also get an agreement very easily such as by only agreeing to sell some of their oil through already existing Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipelines which were very active until Iraqis captured Kirkuk from Kurdish regional government in 2017. Iraqis promised to keep using the pipelines but shortly after they declared they were going to sell Kirkuk oil through Iran by trucks which never happened ofc due it wasn't benefical at all as both increasing production costs and Iran faces many sanctions so they kept Kirkuk oil field idle for 1.5 year!! Not doing something that both countries would benefit rather choosing to loose money??? I guess only a hostile country would do such a thing!! Turkey can send more water and even construct Iraqi dams back in a rapid pace as Turkey has a giant contruction sector but for that Iraq should start acting like a friendly country first rather than blaming us for their own faults such as they created KRG themselves by doing countless atrocities including even using chemical weapons against Kurdish civilians then we started to support KRG heavily!! If they want to continue with those corrupt politics they should start sea-water desalination ASAP... Iraq also needs an agreement with Syria as tigris is a lot better compared to euphrates as you can see in the video!! Turkey could send more water for only humanitarian reasons but i guess you have no idea we already have 4 million Syrian refugees in Turkey but sure we should also provide free clean water and other resources for 10 million Iraqis!! What about we leave our country to Syrians and Iraqis and migrate into Syria and Iraq while they will still get all oil revenue??? Turkey does even more than we should so it is up to those people anymore.

@younanyounan5071 you do realize Iraq is the third biggest oil exporter in the world right
1
@younanyounan5071 Then they must change their corrupt government, it is just that simple!! I have no idea what you want from us Turks, invading Iraq and changing their corrupt government? Or perhaps completely annexing Iraq like in the past?? There is no third option due Turkey is already taking care of 4 million refugees which is the highest refugee amount in the entire world even if we have a crippled economy!! So we can't provide free clean water for 10 million people more as that water is needed for agriculture in Turkey and even if we sent more water Tigris is already a lot better compared to Euphrates as you can see in the video so it won't change anything as long as Syria keeps abusing Euphrates!! Also another main problem of Iraq that they don't have dams to capture water during winters then use that during summers as water levels drops dramatically during summers even in Turkey then we Turks should construct Iraqi dams for free as well??? I don't know if you imagine we Turks as swimming in golden pools or artifical seas etc but in reality we also have water and poverty problems even if it isn't bad as Iraq but even so we are doing all we can do to help those people in Syria and Iraq therefore the only real solution that Iraqis somehow must fix their corrupt government so those tens of billions dolars can be used for their problems rather than making some wicked people rich...

@yejiii9204 For God's sake there is no such a thing as Iraqi water due according to international laws the water belongs where it originates so it is Turkey's water as Turkey is the source of vast majority of those rivers!! But i guess for decades Iraqi politicians are bainwashing you by blaming Turkey and Iran for their own problems but in reality it isn't just true and that's why international agreements are needed such as Turkey and Syria signed a Protocol on Economic Cooperation is an interim agreement on water quantity which states that an annual 16 BCM (500 m3/s) is to be released at the Syrian-Turkish border in 1987 and even if we have very bad relations with assad we are still honoring this agrement!! Therefore Turkey and Iraq needs to sign agreements which will benefit both countries and also Iraq needs a proper agreement with Syria as well due Syria is actually abusing euphrates not us!! Plus Iraq needs to construct it's dams back as soon as possible due during winters water levels are much higher and all those water is just getting wasted in Iraq while during summers water levels drop dramatically even in Turkey so without dams which will provide water for summers Iraq's water problem will continue...

Sykes-Picot Agreement never went through in Turkey as we kept fighting while not accepting any mandate while Arabs rebelled against Ottoman for ''freedom'' then accepted becoming mandates and approved Sykes-Picot Agreement to divide their countries!! Even today Syria becomes a Russian mandate for a false victory, Saudi Barbaria buys hundreds of billion dolar worth arms from US rather than building it's own economy, corruptions and discriminations are everywhere and arabs are hating each others despite they are pretty much same nation!! At this rate it will take very long time until ill effects of that agreement and mandate era are finally over...

@Hamdoon Your water??? LMAO!! Turkey is the source of both rivers so it is our water and we are using it as we see fit...
1
@ninjafruitchilled Sure, Polyanna but if we return to the real world Turkey being the source of both rivers makes Turkey to have no obligation what so ever to send it's own water to those countries according to international laws and that's exactly why nobody can't do anything against our dams!! If they want to continue with those corrupt politics they should start sea-water desalination ASAP... Also an agreement with only Turkey wouldn't fix the water problem of Iraq as tigris is already in far better shape than euphrates that you can also see in the video so Iraq also needs an agreement with Syria about euphrates!! So i hope you understood the political problem with Iraq as they aren't choosing to cooperate with their neighbours which will benefit everybody as Turkey route is by far the cheapest and safest route to Europe and Iraq would earn a lot more if they export their oil through Turkey and also get the water agreement they need!! An agreement with Syria is a lot more complex but it is possible Iran can arrenge something as they are friendly with both countries.

@Ahmed2000-o8e Yeah it was very rainy this winter in Turkey so water levels raised but that doesn't mean Turkey always can send this much water due usually it isn't this rainy at all and we also have a water problem even if it isn't as bad as Iraq But as i said earlier we can send some water more, also construct Iraqi dams back if Turkey and Iraq agrees on so everybody would benefit in the region Turkey and Iraq signed several agreements about cooperation against terrorism very recently so i really hope we will finally start working together
