  2. Rebel statements that they didn't want to launch an offensive while Lebanon was still fighting USrael and end up supporting USrael. So they waited for the ceasefire to launch it, the offensive is a joint operation of hts and Turkish backed SNA too. There are around 80,000 SNA members while around 20,000 hts members. So the main force of the offensive is SNA for sure, not hts like it is circulating in the west but it is true they are spearheading it. This is 100% Turkish operation, it is somehow often ignored there are almost 4 million Syrian refugees in Turkey. There are also over 5.5 million displaced Syrians in rebel territories, total over 9 million Syrians under Turkish control. (More after the offensive ofc) Despite Turkey's efforts Syrian regime did absolutely nothing so far to convince these people to return rather they remained as refugees and displaced people. There are over a million Syrians still living in tents around Idlib after 6 years since they were displaced! Enough is enough, you can say Turkish policy is changed now as obiviously the government has no intention taking these people back. So new Turkish policy creating a country for them, this is also the reason why there are 'preserving syrian integrity' statements coming from leaders of the region. These Turkish backed rebels and US backed rebels in 2012-2013 aren't same people. One of the biggest mistakes of US they allowed foreign militants to join FSA back then and thousands of Iraqis etc traveled into Syria and joined FSA, we all know what they declared later on. While these rebels are entirely Syrians, SNA is 100% Syrian, trained and armed by Turkey. While hts is not directly supported by Turkey rather allying themselves to Turkish backed SNA but they are also entirely Syrian. They declared they weren't a part of quada like 8 years ago and even arrested quada linked people since then. Their current statements they only want to liberate their country, how true that is we will see i guess but i don't think there is any danger another infighting. The biggest problem of the first war international players jumped in from all around the world and turned it into a proxy war. While today the biggest actor is Turkey which aims to stabilize Syria and send Syrians back into their country. With Russia weakened and US unwilling, there is no power left which can challenge this Turkish plan. So even if some smaller actors throwing big claims around i guarantee you they will do nothing. Same goes Syrian actors, there will be elections held in 2025 and a new government will be formed, any actor refusing to participate either SDF or hts will regret it to say at least. The Syrian war is finally over, with Daraa also rebelling and Homs surrounded, it is not if rather when question anymore..

  5. Lebanon is just showing how misconduct could destroy an entire country. For years they kept importing from developed countries instead of developing countries because of political corruption and ''higher quality'' etc so now they are paying the price. There is a very similar problem in other Arabic countries as well that oil money is wasted on arms, extremely expensive products, ridiculous construction projects which wouldn't benefit ordinary people at all etc!! But even if they have been importing billions of dollars worth products from those developed countries Lebanon got ditched when they needed help the most and ''aid money'' put behind some reform conditions. Because they never had strong relations with developing countries they can't get help from there neither. Their only significant trade partners expect EU, US and China is Turkey with 6.88% and Egypt with 2.55%. Egypt experiences food insecurity itself and imports almost half of their food so they are no help. While Turkey is a large food exporter country and could provide everything Lebanon needs but they wouldn't do that for literally worthless Lebanese pound while they are experiencing their own currency crisis even if it isn't this bad!! So Lebanon has no choice, no solution expect literally selling their own lands so don't get surprised at all if they sell their ports etc to a foreign country, in fact there are already some circling like vultures... https://www.reuters.com/article/lebanon-crisis-port-exclusive-int-idUSKBN2BO6MS

  12.  @nxx33  Lebanon needs at least 30 billion dollars now and total 100 billion so they can recover their economy enough that Lebanese pound loosing value this badly anymore!! While Turkey isn't in a place that they can even offer 10 billion to Lebanon. Turkey has a very large economy even larger than many western countries, for example Turkey actually has way larger industry than even Russia but Turkey doesn't have high tech production such as electronics or pharma and natural resources to back their economy like Russia!! Instead they have to import pretty much all their energy needs and even other materials like tens of millions of tons iron so they can keep producing!! They also import high tech products so they have a huge deficit between their exports and imports which is why foreign currency is leaving Turkey and Turkish lira is loosing value. There is just no way Turkey can send foreign currency to Lebanon as it would increase Turkish lira's loosing value (Expect only few hundred million dollars which would only be a drop in the ocean) that same goes for sending all their food and other needs because it would reduce Turkey's exports and accordingly less foreign currency would enter Turkey and again Turkish lira would loose more value. Turkey can send billions of Turkish lira to Lebanon for them to use buying food but sadly Turkish lira isn't very much more valuable than Lebanon pound. This is how world powers control us and we don't have much option to fight against it unless we stop importing from them and start importing from each others!! So next time you are in a market check where those products are coming from if it is Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon etc buy it but it is from China, US, France, Germany etc don't buy it...
