It seems like you need refreshing your memory about how it started too, because Syrians were only protesting at first. After weeks of protests alassad 'mightyking' promised reforms but later on ditched them and security forces opened fire on protesters. After that point it became a rebellion not before, care to explain why exactly alassad promised reforms then didn't keep his promise, huh??
