Lebanon is just showing how misconduct could destroy an entire country. For years they kept importing from developed countries instead of developing countries because of political corruption and ''higher quality'' etc so now they are paying the price. There is a very similar problem in other Arabic countries as well that oil money is wasted on arms, extremely expensive products, ridiculous construction projects which wouldn't benefit ordinary people at all etc!! But even if they have been importing billions of dollars worth products from those developed countries Lebanon got ditched when they needed help the most and ''aid money'' put behind some reform conditions. Because they never had strong relations with developing countries they can't get help from there neither. Their only significant trade partners expect EU, US and China is Turkey with 6.88% and Egypt with 2.55%. Egypt experiences food insecurity itself and imports almost half of their food so they are no help. While Turkey is a large food exporter country and could provide everything Lebanon needs but they wouldn't do that for literally worthless Lebanese pound while they are experiencing their own currency crisis even if it isn't this bad!! @nxx33 Lebanon needs at least 30 billion dollars now and total 100 billion so they can recover their economy enough that Lebanese pound loosing value this badly anymore!! While Turkey isn't in a place that they can even offer 10 billion to Lebanon. Turkey has a very large economy even larger than many western countries, for example Turkey actually has way larger industry than even Russia but Turkey doesn't have high tech production such as electronics or pharma and natural resources to back their economy like Russia!! Instead they have to import pretty much all their energy needs and even other materials like tens of millions of tons iron so they can keep producing!! They also import high tech products so they have a huge deficit between their exports and imports which is why foreign currency is leaving Turkey and Turkish lira is loosing value. There is just no way Turkey can send foreign currency to Lebanon as it would increase Turkish lira's loosing value (Expect only few hundred million dollars which would only be a drop in the ocean) that same goes for sending all their food and other needs because it would reduce Turkey's exports and accordingly less foreign currency would enter Turkey and again Turkish lira would loose more value. Turkey can send billions of Turkish lira to Lebanon for them to use buying food but sadly Turkish lira isn't very much more valuable than Lebanon pound. This is how world powers control us and we don't have much option to fight against it unless we stop importing from them and start importing from each others!! So next time you are in a market check where those products are coming from if it is Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon etc buy it but it is from China, US, France, Germany etc don't buy it...
