  1. Their understanding of scent isn't a thousand times better than us, it is whole another dimension for them! My cocker can follow scent of plastic ball rolling on the grass, i have no idea how much scent a plastic ball can leave but it sure does and she knows it is the ball. It is not about skin scent, sock scent etc they somehow mix it all and determine somebody's scent. So it doesn't matter if different perfume etc used the analysed scent is same for them. My cocker actually trusts her nose more than anything else, for example she completely ignores TV no matter what is on, they have no scent so they don't exist. Only once in 10 years she reacted to TV when there was a door bell same as ours in a movie and she ran to the door like ''hey, somebody came''😂😂
