  1. My family has an olive garden in Turkiye for generations and i must say vast majority of bottled olive oil is either fake or processed. For example real extra virgin olive oil would look like 9:07 clouded and green, this is also olive oil we produce and use. If it is not clouded then it is processed or made from completely black olives. As olives grow the amount of oil in them increase, so if they are allowed to completely go black on the tree this is the point they have the most oil in them. But quality of oil drops significantly so the real extra virgin oil must be produced from green olives before they were fully grown. But ofc as a result there would have less oil. So companies literally always mixing black and green olives, processing it and wrongly calling it extra virgin olive oil. We don't sell expect friends and family so we produce entirely from green olives, there were many people advicing us to not use green olives like this as we can earn way more either by waiting them to go black or sell them as green olives. But we still use green olives to produce oil as the real extra virgin olive oil tastes so good, definitively worth it..
