As a Turk i agree vast majority of your accurate points and expect only two parts: 1- Turkey didn't really directly arm any opposition in the beginning of the war rather let US and Arabic coalitions to arm them freely until isis showed up and started to attack the opposition especially Turkmen and Kurdish region in northern Syria due Turkish Kurds organized huge demonstrations and demanded that Turkey must protect those Kurds against isis therefore erdogan offered support to anybody who wanted to fight against isis and thousands of Peshmerga forces from KRG and PKK terrorists from Turkey accepted this offer and joined the fight against isis in 2014. During same time period US coalition also started to support YPG together with PKK terrorists even if not only Turkey considers them as terrorists, also US, EU and many more western countries as well due erdogan gave green light for supporting them as peace talks with PKK was still ongoing!! And isis started to loose lands in the east against YPG coalition that Peshmerga returned to KRG after Kurdish majority region got saved while PKK stayed but isis was still pushing in the west during 2015 especially in the Turkmen region so Turkey started to directly arm the opposition against isis such as if you check sultan murad division's weapons you can see pretty much all of them are Turkish weapons!! And those groups captured back Turkmen majority parts back from isis in late 2015 in same time period a Russian plane got shot down by Turkey due Russia saw direct involvement of Turkey in last few months as a threat against their influence and started to bomb those Turkmen groups due even if they were fighting against isis during that time they were still enemies of Assad regime then Turkey shot down one of those planes which was operating too close to Turkish border which damaged relations with Russia greatly but they stopped bombing Turkmen groups. Then peace talks failed in Turkey and the conflict between Turkey and PKK began again while YPG could expel PKK terrorists and stay neutral but there were thousands of PKK terrorists still in YPG therefore PKK influence was too strong to ditch so YPG sided and merged with PKK against Turkey and changed their name to SDF!! One of main reasons they could challenge Turkey like this they were really believing US was going to protect them against Turkey but ofc this was just a delusion due US had only one objective in Syria which is cutting Iran>Lebanon supply route, nothing else!! If YPG/PKK could manage to do that perhaps US would keep protecting them today but with Russian support Assad regime also captured isis territories very fast and kept Iran>Lebanon route open after that point it was completely pointless keep supporting YPG/PKK and Trump started to announce that they will leave Syria in order to get a deal from Russian side about removing Iranian forces from Syria.. 2- Peace talks with PKK didn't fail because erdogan did a U turn rather it was doomed from beginning as many scepticals always defended!! Because only purpose of erdogan was ending the conflict which lasted for few decades therefore he could get more votes from both Kurds and Turks so for this goal he directly tried to negotiate with PKK terrorist organization instead of HDP Kurdish political party etc after all his whole purpose was convincing them to stop the armed conflict therefore he kept giving them more and more privileges such as they were allowed to enter Turkey and even cities while fully armed which was a first in Turkey's history and they started to build bases and check points while acting like ''Kurdish police''!! And ofc this wasn't enough and they kept demanding more such as they wanted a general amnesty for PKK members even the ones who killed innocent people and naturally Turkey demanded surrendering their weapons for such a thing but they refused and threatened to attack prisons and forcefully freeing their members!! Which was one of actual turning points in the peace talks and tensions kept increasing between PKK and Turkish armed forces until they killed 2 Police officers to ''revenge'' an isis attack then Turkey declared the peace talks were officially over and started to bomb them again but ofc they had no intention to leave those cities that they were allowed to enter during peace talks even if they very well knew there was no way on Earth they could hold those places and hundreds of both security forces and civilians died while trying to clear them off which was the highest security force casualties in entire conflict!! Peace talks could perhaps work if erdogan tried to negotiate with HDP Kurdish party instead of PKK but then HDP would become a part of the solution and gain more votes from most probably AKP so he wickedly chose negotiating with a terrorist organization which cost hundreds of lives and many more problems such as the US support for YPG/PKK!! Peace talks had only one possitive result that Turkish Kurds very publicly saw who PKK terrorists really are as they acted very rapacious all along and didn't even hesitate to use them as human shields at the end which is why even if Turkey attacks ''Kurds'' in Syria you can't see a single demonstration from Turkish Kurds due they all know those people aren't just Kurds rather PKK terrorists who are harvesting what they sowed...

@hassooonnn6504 I wonder with what kind of logic you consider prolonging the war and helping them as same??? If you only claim Turkey is prolonging the war i would completely agree as Turkey wants assadists to convince 3.6 million Syrian refugees in Turkey to return and not letting PKK terrorists to operate in their region so as long as those two simple conditions aren't done Turkey will stay in Syria forever as Adana agreement gives Turkey every right to do so and expelling millions of people into another country is against international laws, in fact Turkey could even declare war on assadists which kinda happened few weeks ago and we killed several thousands of them until a ceasefire deal was signed!! On the other hand if you claim Turkey is helping HTS terrorists who are also in Idlib i would disagree that completely as helping means supporting them with something while Turkey doesn't give any weapons nor aids to HTS at all rather only support FSA-SNA groups which is why there are around 15,000 HTS terrorists left today while SNA numbers are over 100,000!! So HTS isn't a threat anymore at all and Turkey could clear them within just few weeks but then Turkey can't give Idlib to assadists as Turkish public wouldn't agree giving a land which we cleared no matter what which is why erdogan doesn't clear HTS as he actually wants to give Idlib to Russia/assadists if they convince Syrian refugees to return and not let PKK terrorists to operate in their region and this is why Putin promised several times a new constitution and fair elections for Syria which would convince a lot of refugees for sure but sadly even if years passed there is nothing done yet!! If you ever see Turkish forces are clearing HTS in Idlib then you can be sure no hope for a political solution is left anymore and Turkey will just establish Idlibistan for those Syrian refugees in Turkey...

@hassooonnn6504 You are the one who is trying to make Syrian government look innocent while in reality they killed hundreds of thousands civilians by directly targeting them or randomly bombing cities since the beginning of the war not those terrorists at all!! Which is why even if majority of Syria is safe anymore Syrian refugees who are vast majority Sunnis still not returning to Syria due to the fact they actually ran from Alawite assadists so they don't think Syria is safe for them and they fear Alawite assadists will target them more if they return!! Stop moronically acting like assad was ''a secular and fair leader'' while in reality al assad family captured the secular government of Syria with a coup 50 year ago and they established a completely Alawite exclusive army and government from Alawites close to al assad family even if vast majority were always Sunnis in Syria so he isn't a secular nor fair leader at all rather he is exactly another saddam who was trying to rule majority Shia Iraq with Sunni exclusive army and government... Also i always find it amusing that you ''geniuses'' claiming Turkey is supporting jihadist terrorists as Turkey is a secular country and because of that all those sharia lover jihadists hate Turkey, in fact they did dozens of terrorist attacks in Turkey so good thing ''we supported them'' otherwise they were going to nuke Ankara i guess, LMAO!! While you can't find any of their terrorists attacks in sharia countries which really support them...
