If you want to be a neutral historian you should also mention how British empire was treating Turkish/Ottoman POWs. Mistreatment was rampant in both sides and many of POWs never returned home. This is also why Indian casualties were less as they weren't seen as responsible as British forces. It was one of the worst defeats of British empire but often overlooked as it didn't have lasting consequences in the war like Gallipoli did.

@TheHistoryChap I'm not a historian but read a lot of historical material including diaries, orders, newspaper articles etc. Never seen any Ottoman source considering they could turn Indians against British empire neither from Gallipoli nor southern front. Their morale was lacking anyway and they were nowhere near effective as British or ANZAC forces. Especially after they became POWs why would Ottoman care really? I think it was just they were seen as fools rather than enemies. Ottoman always had similar bias towards Asian and African nations, for example slavery was time limited. 9 years for Europeans while 7 years for Africans and Asians, shorter if they adopted Islam.
