@Mastario What set this coup off is probably the fact that Morales had begun to have the infrastructure built to process the lithium in Bolivia rather than just export and sell the raw litium to large foreign (mostly American) corporations, which would bring the profits to his country and deprive said corporations and many middlemen of their enormous profits.
