In 1795 the territory of Poland was partitioned by Prussia, Austria and Russia, the LARGEST part (Eastern) going to Russia.

Please read my comment again - I never wrote that Poland was part of the USSR. I wrote that Poland was part of the Russian Empire until the Russian Revolution. If anyone doesn't know their history properly (and has a severe reading comprehension challenge), it is you.

In 1914 the Russia Empire included Poland, Finland and large parts of Transcaucasia.

Well, well, well - my silly little obvious joke hit a very raw nerve there, possibly indicating that it may have roots in reality!

Not really - the ethnic diversity is quite large, the Slavs being only one of them. Kievan Rus' was founded by the Rus' people, Varangians who first settled around Ladoga and Novgorod, then gradually moved southward eventually reaching Kiev about 880. Varangians were Swedes.

Absolutely false. Human settlement in Ukraine and its vicinity dates back to 32,000 BCE, with evidence of the Gravettian culture in the Crimean Mountains. The etymology of Ukraine is that it came from the old Slavic term ukraina which meant "border region" or "frontier". The term can be often found in Eastern Slavic chronicles from 1187 on, but for a long time it referred not solely to the border lands in present-day Ukraine.

Do you not know the meaning of the ;) smiley symbol?

"Na zdarovya" is what a host says to a guest when the guest thanks them for a meal. The proper term when drinking and saying the equivalent to "to your health" is "za zdarovya" or "za vasha zdarovya".

No, I am referring to the annexation of a large part of Poland and Lithuania at the beginning of the Russian Empire. My great-great-grandfather was named governor of that province by the Czar in the 19th century - he was Михаил Николаевич Муравьёв (Граф Муравьёв-Виленский). So you have no history lesson to give me, dearie.

Most of Poland (excepting the part of Poland that was part of Germany) was part of the Russian Empire until the Russian Revolution.

During the 10th and 11th centuries, it became the largest and most powerful state in Europe. It is the cradle of Russia which was founded and united by Rurik in the 9th century.

Stolen and misinterpreted from the original Russian, of course. ;)
