@jeffm5991 Because not everyone wears them properly - many wear them under the nose and under the chin, which defeats the whole purpose. Some people cros the ear elastics which creates a large gap on the sides through which a great deal of droplets and aerosols are emitted. Others don't pinch the metal part properly around the nose or simply don't pinch them at all, which also lets out a large amount of droplets and aerosols as they constantly fall below the nose and are constantly being pushed back up with bare hands, thus if they have droplets and aerosols on the outer surface they contaminate the fingers which then are used for scratching the face and placing the viruses on the face, etc. A significant number of people haven't understood any of this. Also, the droplets and aerosols do land on the eyes and deposit the viruses on the surface of the eyes which then go down to the throat and the back of the nose through the tear ducts - which is why one ought to also wear protective goggles or face-shields to prevent the eyes from being reached by the droplets and aerosols. The droplets and aerosols also land on people's hair, which is why one ought to wear a hat or a disposable surgical bouffant cap. One should wash one's hands or use hydroalcoholic gel to disinfect the hands after removing them. .

toshani - nope, just intelligent.

Therefore it was not a nerve agent!

Her father is not a defector. He is a double agent working for MI6 who was exchanged for Russian sleeper agents in the UK.

Zach - Not so. Defection is the act of leaving a country, political party, etc. to go to another one: Over the years there were hundreds of defections to the West/defections from the East. In the field of counterintelligence, a double agent (also double secret agent) is an employee of a secret intelligence service for one country, whose primary purpose is to spy on a target organization of another country, but who, in fact, has been discovered by the target organization and is now spying on their own country's organization for the target organization. Double agentry may be practiced by spies of the target organization who infiltrate the controlling organization, or may result from the turning (switching sides) of previously loyal agents of the controlling organization by the target. The threat of execution is the most common method of turning a captured agent (working for an intelligence service) into a double agent (working for a foreign intelligence service) or a double agent into a re-doubled agent. It is unlike a defector who is not considered an agent as agents are in place to function for an intelligence service and defectors are not, but some consider that defectors in place are agents until they have defected.

Tom - Her father is still alive.

rrek7 -- So they say, so they say, but there is no evidence whatsoever.

"The 33-year-old daughter of Sergei Skripal, Yulia Skripal, visited her ”Vkontakte” page – sort of a Russian version of Facebook – on the morning of March 7th, three days after the “assassination” attempt that put her allegedly in a coma, until just a few days ago. She was poisoned, according to the British government, along side her father Sergei, and according to the official version, hasn’t regained consciousness until quite recently." https://www.fort-russ.com/2018/03/curiouser-and-curiouser-yulia-skripal-logged-into-vk-while-in-coma/

PRISON PLANET 2 The SARS-CoV-2 (which is the name of the virus which causes Covid-19) viruses don't fly around individually - they are contained in the droplets and the aerosols emitted through breathing out, sneezing, talking, shouting, singing and laughing. The masks trap said droplets and aerosols both outwards (on their way out of our mouths and noses) and on their way in from the air where they are projected by people not wearing masks. Actual science - get an education and a brain.

The SARS-CoV-2 viruses don't float around individually in the air. They are contained in the droplets and in the aerosol particles that are emitted through breathing out, talking, singing, shouting, sneezing and laughing. Therefore, what one needs is masks which trap both the droplets and the aerosols.

@selalewow You are most welcome. These facts are not widely known, unfortunately.

@jeffm5991 Oh, and they actually do work, your ignorance notwithstanding.

@SaturdayNightSlamMaster1980 Big mistake. They may look fine, but they aren't.
2
@arboristable They are not "aerosolized virus particles" - they are aerosol particles containing a number of viruses. They can remain suspended for much longer than three hours, they can remain suspended for up to 18 hours in closed environments with no direct ventilation from outside.

1) Porton Down has acknowledged in publications it has never seen any Russian “novichoks”. The UK government has absolutely no “fingerprint” information such as impurities that can safely attribute this substance to Russia. 2) Until now, neither Porton Down nor the world’s experts at the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) were convinced “Novichoks” even exist. 3) The UK is refusing to provide a sample to the OPCW. 4) “Novichoks” were specifically designed to be able to be manufactured from common ingredients on any scientific bench. The Americans dismantled and studied the facility that allegedly developed them. It is completely untrue only the Russians could make them, if anybody can. 5) The “Novichok” programme was in Uzbekistan not in Russia. Its legacy was inherited by the Americans during their alliance with Karimov, not by the Russians.
