@cookinggerson4000 Maybe in archaic times, circumcision was seen as beneficial because there was no soap and water. Soap and water have since been invented, so there is no need to cut off bits snd pieces from newborn boys.

@SuperTinamarie2010 Firstly, not every boy gets the infections that you assume and secondly, he does not have to expose himself in locker-rooms. By dint of your argument, it would also be beneficial to remove women's breasts, as they could get cancer.

@dinavienna It is the people who go AGAINST societal expectations who help it the most. I know that it is easier to follow cultural or social norms just because "everyone else does," but following a crowd often means that you get no further than that crowd and are trapped by its theories for generations or, at least, until someone else speaks out.

@Assenre1494 Sometimes, it is the very people raised in a culture who talk against it. You say that you ca not judge another culture because you were not raised in it. That's true, but if there is something repulsive about another culture, we should feel free to express our disgust at it. Let's take an example: the self-immolation of Indian widows at their late husbands' funeral pyre. The widow would walk towards the pyre, chanting a prayer, then would walk directly into the pyre and burn to death. This went on for several years before it became outlawed. What g if it gad not become outlawed? Part of civilization of mankind is looking at primitive, barbaric behaviour and moving on from it. If we do not, we are no better than animals. Animals' behaviour is exactly the same throughout centuries because they know no better. People should be more civilised.
