The story of Mary-Jo Buttafuoco is sad, not the story of Amy Fisher. Amy Fisher is perfectly healthy. Mary-Jo is partially blind and partially deaf, thanks to the bullet that Amy Fisher fired into her head. Part of the bullet still remains in Mary-Jo's head and she still suffers blinding headaches. If there is anyone you should be sorry for, it should be Mary-Jo, not Amy. The only thing sad about Amy is that her children were ostracised and bullied in school because of her. Although Amy moved to Florida with her husband and children after the Long Island tragedy, word got round very fast via news reports etc about who she really was and her children suffered for it.

@iLoveJackingOn He was obsessed with losing his virginity just like some people are obsessed with losing an unreasonable amount of weight. It preyed on his mind all the time.
8
It is not really funny. Anyone could have been born vertically challenged but no-one would like to be bullied about it. To all those people mocking the vertically challenged, how would you feel if you were one of them and what would you do if any of your children were born vertically challenged?

@austinsy8056 Many people have worse lives than Elliot Rodger and do not go out on killing sprees. There are people who are terminally ill, starving, abandoned as babies and do not know who their biological parents are and they do not turn to crime. Elliot Rodger had no need to kill anybody. All he had to do was work on his self-esteem issues and he wuld have been fine.
7
@Borderose He was obsessed with his shyness, that is no good. It is like someone suffering from anorexia. They exceed their calorie count by one calorie and they starve for the rest of the week. Even if he were shy, he could have gone out with male friends to nightclubs, for instance and even if he did not talk much, he could have made himself sociable by saying "hello" to a girl whom he met there.
6
@naomipask9956 Mary-Jo had two young children at the time. Maybe she felt that she should not leave him, as the children were still very young.
5
He may have been unfaithful to his wife but he did not pull the trigger.
5
@EClouds36 No, he was not particularly short. He was not a dwarf. His problem was that he took virginity too seriously and started comparing himself, sometimes wrongly, to other people. If he had learnt to accept himself for how he was instead of comparing himself to other people, he would have been all right.
4
@rakesfunnyfarm You want to save your marriage, especially if your children are still very young, like Mary-Jo's were at that time.
4
@habibahmad6658 That is a wicked thing to write. Do you think that she chose this for herself? No-one wants to be intersex.
4
@gardenfalls What if that intersex kid does not identify as a girl but you have removed its male anatomy as it was born intersex? What will you do if it becomes depressed because identity is very important in society.
4
@TheLambdaTeam In the UK, it is harder to get guns snd just as hard to purchase them illegally.
3
@ActiveAussie2024 Not everything in life has to be a competition.
3
@LisaGTrueCrimeGuru I am fully Jewish and think that circumcision is barbaric.
3
How can a doctor decide what sex a baby should belong to? A baby cannot feel the emotions of a person who knows whether he is male or female; a baby cannot talk. The mess that those doctors have made of those intersex people's lives is unimaginable.
3
@tiny_lez_bunny I, too, am against circumcision and I come from a religion that practises it.
3
@janinec4444 By dint of the first part of your argument, one can say that removing women's breasts also has benefits: avoidance of breast cancer, but if we cut off everything for fear of developing this, that or the other, we would be left with nothing. Our entire bodies would disappear.
3
That is why I say, Boi, that society plays a HUGE part in the way people turn out.
3
@johnnihil1689 How do you know that his father offered him girls and he refused?
3
@thecashmaker1994 Looks DO matter. It is what attracts you to someone in the first place. Would you go out with someone whom you consider dead ugly and then marry them? You would wake up in the morning, see their ugly face and feel sick every day for the rest of your life, but you are right when you say that social skills are important.
3
The story has no end. It does not even end on a cliffhanger.
3
At seventeen, they can be quite crafty.
3
Both are sick, alejandro.
3
Listen yo his videos, blah and you will hear plenty of warning signs.
3
@0906blue The married men are just as slutty because they have made vows to be faithful to their wives. They have everything to lose when they break those vows. The single girls made no vows and have nothing to lose, as they can move from one man to the other. I hate those double standards, when it is clear that a married person, even a man, is more to blame for their marriage disintegrating than a single person.
3
@mrhupwop981 He once spent at least an hour in his car in a car park, expecting people to come up and talk to him. Needless to say, they did not. Who approaches total strangers and starts talking to them? They could get arrested for stalking if they did.
2
@kingzuna8007 You are only twenty. Give yourself time. Look at middle-aged, homeless men in the street. Most of them are homeless because their wives threw them out. Marriage is not all a bed of roses, you know.
2
@mizanulalam6041 And even if you do not lose your virginity, there is no need to drive yourself crazy about it. Things happen when they happen.
2
@boss7300 Because he worried about it too much and gave off an unpleasant vibe.
2
@nicholascave3012 So she had other men before you! So what? You did not have other women before her? Unless you have an arranged marriage, chances are that you will have had several girlfriends before marrying your wife.
2
Of course, Jessica, Mary-Jo's daughter, will say life was beautiful for her in the 1990's. She was a child then. Every child of that age thinks life is beautiful because he or she is not weighed down by adult responsibilities, but childhood can also be incredibly boring.
2
He swore on his children's lives but not on his own - the classic reaction of a liar.
2
@cebuanoguy He was 5'7", that is not small. I have heard of 3'5" dwarves married.
2
@bruhno1545 He WAS badly treated, by his stepmother and by his classmates. My issue is is that he killed innocent people who had nothing to do with his unhappiness.
2
But she did a terrible thing. All right, she fancied a married man. These things happen. If she would not have shot his wife, she would not have got arrested and her life would not have been ruined.
2
@forgottenpalace4472 As far as I know, Amy Fisher married someone else, had three children and moved to Florida. Her story is well-known there as well and her children had a tough time at school, with no-one wanting to befriend them because all their classmates say that "they have that Amy Fisher gene."
2
Itis only natural for the parents of intersex babies to want to have their child "fixed", so they listen to doctors who remove what they consider "unnecessary " body parts. The problem arises when the child is older and can mentally relate only to the gender of the person who had the "unnecessary" body parts. As I mentioned before, ababy cannot talk and tell you to what gender it relates. It is best to wait until the child is older and tells or his parents1 what it wants to be.
2
But if there is no evidence to link someone to a crime, you cannot accuse him or her because you are unsure that he or she did it. In fact, if he or she is proved innocent, he or she may sue you.
2
@monstaxonly807 Maybe they think that it will help them integrate better. Utter rubbish! You should not have to deny your own culture in order to fit in better. If you do, you are in the wrong place.
2
@0906blue And you did not shoot anyone in the head when you were sixteen, blue.
2
@lukecrawford1215 The Pope is a virgin. Would he kill because he does not get sex?
1
@TheLastAbacus Exactly, Abacus! That is the point that I am trying to make all the time.
1
@judithpetree6329 I think that he would have been happy had he had a girlfriend. The trouble was that he expected girls to fall into his lap. No-one falls into anyone's lap. You have to put yourself out there if you want to meet anyone.
1
@saynotohookups That one friend was a virgin himself. He should have told him that virginity is nothing to be ashamed of and it is not worth ruining your life over if you never lose it.
1
He could have also had girlfriend had he not keyed himself up into this neurotic state, which convinced him that he was the only one in the world without a girlfriend. Had he done something about his "mental problem" instead of behaving in an intimidating manner and blaming other people from recoiling from him because they became uncomfortable with his psychotic ranting, he could have actually found someone.
1
@youngspunky2835 There is nothing wrong with living at home with your parents after a certain age. Not everyone can afford to move out. If that is the only reason women despise you for, you are probably better off without them. There is plenty wrong with a mentally disturbed person who feels that he must have women at all costs, otherwise he will turn to mass murder. Elliot Rodger got fixated with the idea that he was entitled to a relationship otherwise his life was worthless. This is a very dangerous mindset. No-one is ENTITLED to anything. One has to work for it.
1
@allier1867 He murdered six innocent people who did nothing to upset him.
1
@trueCrimeGuruYes When was that?
1
@stephanmckinnie6221 He did not have to kill six innocent people.
1
@geovoniejohnson4853 As long as you do not go on a killing spree like he did, you are all right.
1
@iamyournytemare4253 So you agree that he was right to kill innocent people?
1
@aaabbb-pg2zk Not to the extent that you would kill someone if you did not get it.
1
It goes to show that you can never tell what goes on in someone's mind. He was good-looking and well-off financially. On the outside, he looked like a normal young man, but he was also a victim. A victim of a society which places far too much emphasis on relationships. I am not saying that we should all become cloisters hermits, but we are in big trouble if someone feels so frustrated by his unmarried status that he resorts to going on a murder rampage. Who knows how many oth3rs are like that in our midst?
1
@patricknelson1471 He was more likely brainwashed by university culture.
1
@normiesaredegeneratesthatn3331 He ruined his own life and his family's lives as well. They had to move house several times after he committed his crimes.
1
@QTTR88 That is also true.
1
@renj6531 Some people never lose their virginity. There is nothing wrong with that. Not everything has to be a competition.
1
@wrestlingfan-yq1wh It is not the main thing in life. You could get laid a million times and not find the right person with whom you wish to spend the rest of your life.
1
@Acvdsxbfz It is not the ONLY purpose of our lives.
1
@Acvdsxbfz Yes, it is what we are here to do, but it is not something that you get worked up about and resort to murder if you cannot get it. Having sex is one thing, having a meaningful relationship is another.
1
***** One should really feel sorry for transgender people, whatever their ages. They cannot help being how they are and they have a hard time, no matter how happy they seem to be, yet the funny thing is that, although this child is biologically a boy, it looks amazingly like a girl.
1
Virginity is nothing to be ashamed of.
1
@walterbrunswick Ans there are people who never lose their virginity and you do not see them going around like lunatics, murdering people, either.
1
@urevya What is bluepilled?
1
Variance Williamson's comment is what encourage the likes of Elliot Rodger's behaviour in the first place.
1
Guns are too easily available in the United States. Wherever you look, there are gun shops. It is as easy to buy a gun in the United States as it is to buy food. I understand the Second Amendment law, giving the United States' citizens a right to bear arms, but guns sometimes fall into the wrong hands and people are murdered. Here, in the UK, there is also crime, but it is mainly with knives, which kill far fewer people. Guns are not impossible to obtain in the UK, but you need a special licence.
1
He was mentally disturbed but he acted normally when buying the gun. He did not enter the gun shop, saying: " Give me the deadliest gun. I want to kill people." He said: " Do you have a twelve-calibre Glock, please?" or whatever guns were available in that shop. If America wants to ric itself of its gun problem, it must close down its gun shops.
1
"There were no cell phones back in the day," said Mary-Jo Buttafuoco. Of course there were.
1
@chipkipperly3904 Some act! He killed six innocent people and then himself because he knew that he would never be free again.
1
@BossDaMoneyMaker Sometimes you are best avoiding it.
1
@nicoleharrison5120 Really? A lot of my family acquaintances thought that I was peculiar simply because I was still an unmarried virgin when I was twenty.
1
@0906blue Neither did Mary Jo Buttafuoco.
1
Just two days behind bars for pushing someone off a bridge?! You get more than that for shoplifting bread!
1
In a few years' time, you will miss the 2020's, Taylor.
1
It depends on a person's brain. Male brains are different from female. Men like adventurous sports like bungee-jumping, paragliding, etc. Women like netball, swimming, etc. I am not having a go at tomboys. There is nothing wrong with girls playing with toy cars or boys playing with dolls, for instance, but your brain determines what sex you should belong to. (Apologies to transsexuals - this post is not supposed to offend you.) This happens as you develop, therefore, leave intersex babies alone and let them decide what sex they want to belong to as they get older.
1
@dontwastetimeyouarelosingr8172 Why? They are not mental or anything. They are just born biologically different. Most of them look like one sex or another facially.
1
@INEEDMOREBLEACH This is as interesting argument, as, in some cultures, people get married at eighteen, when their brains are not fully developed, but that is another story.
1
@nikkienova9440 There are different laws in different lands. In America, or at least in Long Island, the age of consent is eighteen. I do not know what it is in the other US states.
1
This is shocking, Joan, but what you have just written has nothing to do with the Amy Fisher and Joey Buttafuoco romance.
1
bikelifeandre He killed INNOCENT people.
1
@hamuandxerxl4255 That is what I have been writing again and again on various posts regarding this subject.
1
@teja2295 Are you less of a human being if you don't get laid?
1
@C0DE_ZER0 You had more reason to injure your sister than this girl got for pushing her friend off a bridge.
1
@EnSabahNur-ir5mw He was also a victim - a victim of societal pressure which makes you feel inadequate if you are not in a relationship.
1
@ChildofYAH His only CHILD.
1
Especially if it is your only child, Victoria, not just your only son.
1
Shocking fashions that existed in their youths, especially for the men. Those long-haired men reminded me of the devil.
1
What those idiots do not understand is that the more they socialize and get together, the more the virus spreads and the later their lives will get back to normal. As for that Vanessa Hutchins, the less she speaks, the cleverer she looks.
1
"Il fuoco" means "fire" in Italian.
